Who is responsible
QuickUnits is operated by Daniel Söderlund, Östra Ringvägen 13, 739 30 Skinnskatteberg, Sweden. Contact: [email protected]
This party is the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The short version
QuickUnits has no user accounts, no login, and no database of visitors. We do not ask for your name, e-mail address, or any other personal detail, and there is nothing to delete because nothing is stored.
Two exceptions are described below: aggregate visitor statistics, and advertising.
What we process
Conversions you perform. Everything happens in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us and never leave your device.
Language preference. Your browser tells our server which languages you read, so we can show the site in the right one. This is read once, used immediately, and not stored.
Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It does not follow you between sites. See Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
Security and delivery. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. This is necessary to operate the site at all and is done on the basis of legitimate interest.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising through Google AdSense.
Advertising cookies require your consent. You will be asked once, and your choice is recorded. If you decline, you still see advertising — it is simply not personalised, and no advertising cookies are set. Declining does not restrict any part of the site.
You can change your answer at any time through the link in the footer.
When you consent, Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects. See Google's advertising privacy information for what that involves.
Legal basis
- Delivering the site and keeping it secure: legitimate interest
- Cookieless statistics: legitimate interest
- Personalised advertising: your consent
How long we keep things
We keep nothing that identifies you. Aggregate statistics are retained by Cloudflare according to their retention schedule. Advertising data is handled by Google under their own terms.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
Because we hold no data that identifies you, there is in practice nothing for us to retrieve or delete. For advertising data, contact Google directly. You may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Children
The site is not directed at children and collects nothing that would identify anyone, regardless of age.
Changes
Material changes will be noted here with a new date. The site is versioned publicly, so the full history is available.
